Joe Beef Reserve Jerk Sauce
Traditionally, chicken or jerk pork is cooked on branches of pimento, the tree that produces Jamaican pepper, sometimes called "All-Spice".
This highly flavored marinade is inspired by traditional Caribbean flavors. Spicy lovers will love it!
Jerk sauce contains pitted prunes by hand and a very large amount of hot pepper. To prepare this sauce, you must take certain precautions, including wearing a gas mask to protect yourself from hot pepper vapors! All Joe Beef sauces are produced in small batches, by hand, according to the restaurant's recipe, as if they had been produced on site. No sauce passes through the warehouse doors without receiving the seal of approval from Dave and Fred.
Ingredients: Tomato sauce, vinegar, water, hot peppers (Habanero, cayenne pepper), prunes, cane sugar, Worcestershire sauce, molasses, dehydrated chives, Jamaican pepper, spices.
