Chaga (Inonotus obliquus) is a polypore collected from birch trees. It has been used for centuries and is consumed in herbal tea, or as a coffee substitute. It is appreciated for its many beneficial properties (anti-inflammatory, detoxifying, antioxidant, ...).
Preparation method for a better extraction of aromas: Put 2-3 pieces of chaga or 1-2 tablespoon (s) of chaga powder in a teapot filled with cold water, leave to stand for about thirty minutes, then heat without boiling for thirty minutes. Sweeten to taste. It is also possible to flavor the chaga with another herbal tea or another tea to multiply the pleasures.
